Okuma, this is not a permanant fix but when we need to get an airplane to fly one or two more times we take a jar of vaseline and coat the piston rod heavily and then run it in and out a few times.

One of two things happens, either the seal is deteriorating and the vaseline will cause it to swell and seat a little better or two there is some debris that has gotten between the seal and the sealing surface and the vaseline will dislodge it.

If the seal is linking on the Outer Diameter of the seal, you can pull the seal out and coat it with the vaseline and reinstall.

Again this is not a permanant fix but it might get you a couple more trips. I have seen it work for a very long time and I have seen it not help at all.

~c~ ~c~ Thanks Mike, chfishn, Spetro, and All the others for your help and advice.....
I cleaned it up and coated it real well with Vasaline....lets see if it works any better.........................if not..................
I called a friend that has a repair shop for fork lifts and other hydralic equipment and he is going to look into rebuilding both pistons for me if needed....wants to check parts etc and $$$$$
I also contacted ishopmarine and their mechanic/technicians are going to get back with me---or whoever it is----ALL Good

Yeah I hurt myself real good at Gaston Last month in that tournament..........Esceptionally rough riding, and with the cervical radiculopathies and sciatic nerve problems it laid me up, but I must perservere...........I'm getting better  lo lo lo

   You know how that goes:

Boss Thinks I'm Sick
