« on: April 22, 2006, 12:41:17 PM »

Let's get this forum into high gear!  We've got the "List Your Ride" post, be sure to stop in and leave us some pics and a description of your Stratos boat!  Does anybody have any good stories about their Stratos?

I sure love my 201ProXL!  Handles like a dream, great roughwater ride, fuel economy with the Etec is terriffic....and topend isn't too bad either.. ;D

Here's mine, an '89 275 Pro XL with a 150 Rude and 22p Raker.

Picked this up from the original owner about 3 yrs ago and I've loved it. Looking to buy a new one next year. I need to see the 294 before making a decision.

96 278DC... 150 Johnson

Friend of mine has a Hydra-Sports which is the same hull as my 94 Stratos 270.  I've got a relatively new Mercury 150 EFI and he's got the same Johnson 150 you have on your boat.  He runs circles around me, probably 7 MPH at the top end.  I don't know if it is the setup, the motor, or the driver.  I'm hoping its the motor.  That 150 Johnson will run.

Pretty boat.

I have gps'd mine at 66mph, and some don't believe it until we get out and run. It will 63-64 constantly.  I found the boat undercover in a garage and it had 25 hours on it two years ago when I got it. Definately a diamond in the rough.  It was from an elderly man. All I have done is changed plugs, oil, gas, and decarbed.  And runs like a top.  Best of all its paid for.

I've got an old Stratos. I see a guy on Lanier that has a 275 that really runs.  Isn't that what you just bought?

Hello to everyone, sorta new to UB, sweet ride there T1a, really lie that color, just bought mine 2months ago, went and picked it up last week.  I got the 275XL with a 115merc optimax, got it loaded with a 6 inch jackplate, hotfoot, all the goodies.  LOVE IT!  I am really glad I decided on this boat rather that the Nitro's and Tritons!

I have been doing som much fishing that I haven't had the time to take any photos, but going to get the wife to get some here soon and post up.
