9/11 Bass Tournament Neely Henry
« on: September 09, 2004, 02:04:00 PM »

On 9/11 our world as we had known it changed forever. President Bush challenged all Americans to become "Points of light for your community."  Rikki Hopper (Doll of Guys & Dolls-2004 Alabama East Couple of the year) and Karen Roberts, also of Al East division have planned to do as President Bush requested by sponsoring a bass tournament to benefit Mt. Cheaha Animal Concern Center, a non-profit organization. The tournament will be held on Saturday,
9/11 at Willow Point Marina, Lake Neely Henry. The marina is located on HWY 77 in Ohatchee Al. Please join Karen and Rikki for this event. Each boat on the water will be given a flag to tie onto the boat. We are also asking everyone to wear red, white or blue on that day. Entry fee is $100.00 donation - tax deductible. First Place pays $2500.00. To register phone Karen @
256-354-1449 and leave your name andnumber. We will take registration over the phone and
you may pay the day of the tournament. Registration will continue until safe daylight on the day of the tournament. God Bless you all, and God Bless America.

Thanks,

I'm averaging 3 calls per day, to pre-register. Envision Lures & True Life Jigs game me some sharp spinner baits, all sizes all colors to give away at the tournament. My father and I are fishing a Classic on Pickwick at the end of Sept. We were on the lake 2 weeks ago, without much luck. We've never fished the lake. We're going to Eufaula the 2nd week of Oct. to fish a regional, 150 boats, only the top 20 will qualify. I'll be checking the board quite often for reports. Glad I found you guys. I will post the results.

We all will be looking forward to hearing about your tournaments. Just a quick note if you go ahead and register you will find the board much more user friendly and there is a section called "tips and techniques" that guests can't view that has hundreds of posts on fishing techniques. Give it a shot. Welcome to the forum and hope to see high placing results from your tournaments

Good Luck
