Lipless Crankbait and Hydrilla
« on: June 17, 2006, 01:16:57 PM »

Anybody else have trouble with the front treble hook getting hung up in the hydrilla when fishing with the many lipless CBs??

To reduce the grass hangups without reducing fish hookups - take a look at the front treble.  What I do is clip off the one hook pointed down on this treble.  Doesn't seem to affect hookups, but adds a smile to my face not having to constantly pull hydrilla of the bait as much.

Sorry, can't help you, the lakes I fish don't have a blade of grass in them.

That is a good tip Swede, I have a couple old 'traps I could try that on.  There is plenty of grass over on the Tennessee to try it out on...
