Recycling your old fishin magazines
« on: November 20, 2006, 05:33:09 PM »

What do you do with your old fishin & huntin magazines? We have alot of military guys on this site. I'll bet they would know how to send these magazines over to our military men and women over seas. I know if I was sittin around camp thinkin of home a copy of Bassmaster or Field & Stream would be very welcome.  :-*

I just gave my buddy a stack of about 200. He says he'll probally never read them but he'd take them just in case. If there was a drop off for them I'd be glad to donate them to the troops  ;D

I would think if you dropped them off at one of the many USOs in the major airports - they would be picked up by the military members themselves and personally transported to deployed locations worldwide  ~shade

Just a thought that came to mind from a military member who supports the USO and uses the USO facilities on occasion ~shade  This is a great organization and have been in many of their places outside the US.  Seems easier than trying to find a good address to send them to, pay for shipping, etc.

I live nowhere near an airport let alone a large one. Do you think a local National Guard depot might be able to do something?
