Jarred thanks for the update, looks like it is starting to get going in your area
Feel free to add those other lakes as you did this one. I am looking forward to your future outings, plus once someone starts posting in a new state it doesn't take long for others from your area to post as well. The information growth gets to be incredible before long

Well I did'nt make it too fuqua this weekend to go fishing but I did stop in for an update and it was looking preety good for the bass and crappie on live bait, but the lake is crystal clear so it takes a good fisherman to attract the bass with artificial lures.

I am new to Oklahoma. I heard about Fuqua and went down there the last two weekends. Neither day was that good fronts were moving in and the wind was up. Will anyone share any secrets about fuqua. i am yet to get a bite. i have been fishing the secondary points with carolina rigs and cranking and spent some time around an island (small) but no luck.

Slow Roller, Jarred comes by pretty often and will surely help you with this one. Sounds like you are doing all the right things though, This time of year when fish are thinking about moving up to the flats, secondary points are supposed to be the ticket. Let's see what Jarred has to say

Well Slow Roller!! I,m sorry I did not get back sooner but I have been in the middle of a job swap and have been hunting and fishing alot also.I caught most of my bass this year at fuqua with a six inch tequilla sunrise power worm right off the flats dragging the bottom with little movement. But since the last time I posted about lake fuqua it has rained quit alot, and that may be why the bass aren't bitting like they should. If I went out there in the next few days I would go to the dam on th south end and fish the point that is running north and south in about 5-8 foot of water right were the flat drops on the west side.I have landed some pretty nice fish there.I will post here if I go fishing any this week and let you know what the fish are doing.Hang in there Fuqua is A really great lake to fish we just need a little help from the weather!!

i have been fishing fuqua the last three weekends. I cought twelve channel cats out there the first night and then the next weekend i only landed two fish both bass. the first was about 2 punds and then i thought i had bohemuth. he hit and felt real good. he ended up being 4 pounds eight ounces and was very thin. good bass for late evening and in 45 degree weather. oh by the way fishing with electric grape by berkley.
