« on: May 31, 2007, 10:06:03 PM »

IM really thinkin hard about spendin a good chunk of cash on a NICE pair of SunGlasses but i wanna get some input on these before i buy them. its really between 2 companys either Costa Del Mar or Oakleys. I know both have a great reputation. But i just wanted to know what every1 had too say about these two companies.

A hunt based only on trophies taken, falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be . . . time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live

Me personally I only use Costa Del Mars, but someone on this board said something about Wiley-Xs you may want to check them out here is the link, they look like some good glasses.

I had Oakleys... loved them, although I just had sunglasses, not polarized or anything for fishing... $160... left them laying on a computer desk in the library at college (branch campus, computers had little "cubbies" around a table, with walls between you and the neighbors) while I ran out to my car for a binder, but tucked them around behind the monitor... came back, GONE!! in about 10 minutes. They were kind enough to leave my $100 calculator (which was out in the open mind you) and several text books, etc totaling well over $200, but grabbed the only thing I tried to keep out of plain view... Last time I spent big bucks on sunglasses!!

You'll hear tons of opinions, but it sounds to me that you have it down to 2 choices.  I have Oakleys, most have costas.  Costas are in style now, at least around here.  People buy them because of their name, me on the other hand looked at both and found that oakleys halfjackets are better than costas halfjackets, so i bought oakleys.

Well, you have used my Costas and seen the difference between them and what you have now. I would go with the Costa's, but then I have never used the Oakleys.
