Daylight savings time!
« on: October 28, 2007, 10:21:30 AM »

 :shocking:

Don't set your clocks back an hour this weekend or you'll have a lot of coworkers laughing at you on Monday morning. This year, Daylight Saving Time ends 2 a.m. the first Sunday in November, instead of the last Sunday in October.    ~xyz

there is alway good thing and bad thing with any change that happens, but this is so out dated of a item it should go for good. I know it was to save oil in oil lamps when it was put into effect many years ago but do we use oil lamp now NO so let change it for good!

I always was told it was for the school kids that ride the bus, so they won't have to wait outside for the bus in the dark.

that is one of those urban legends that go around PaPa, if you look in history it was done to save on the oil for oil lamps of the day. Benjamin Franklin first conceived of the idea that later was made us law during ww1 then appealed, enacted for ww2 then appealed again, then took on by the state to decided on.
