11/11/07 Guntersville Lake Bass Fishing Report
« on: November 11, 2007, 03:28:04 PM »

Decided to hit the lake/river today and got down there about 11:45am.  I fished everything from Jigs to Flukes but never not a good bite  :bang  Broke out the Rat-L-Traps and went thru 5 colors...NADA!!!!! ~rant

I even got the Little George out and tried to coax some bites off a good hump, nothing. :fishy

Water temps were in the 58-59 deg range and I was fishing anywere from 4-22ft of water.  Decided to hit an old hole that had been good to me in the past.  Tied on a 1/2oz Royal Shad Super Spot, about the 4th cast BAM...Good solid 3.5lb large mouth nailed it.  I was rippin' it thru what grass is left.  I didn't feel the hit at first thinking it was more grass.  Bass tried to inhale that Super Spot!!! Fished on with a couple smaller but fat fish connecting with the Super Spot.  ~c~

Didn't want to run the hole dry so I left and went to a small pocket that is good in the summer time, that place was covered up with thousands of shad.  I saw three fish that had to be over 5 lbs come completely out of the water after them shad.

I'd throw the fluke in there and let it fall but they never would take it.  The cove is protected by a tree line and is still thick with green hydrilla.  The only thing I had with me that would make it in there was the fluke and they weren't biting it.

Water temps were any were from 56-60 deg depending on cover.  Water was stained and depth averaged 4-10 ft.
