Could anybody tell me about the pros and cons about this motor? Its on the back of a 17 foot Ranger Cherokee alum boat. What speed can I expect from this set-up? Thanks pakrat

Pretty reliable motor. If it has sit, clean the carbs before you run it. Run Quicksilver or Merc Premium Plus oil through her, Sea Foam in every drop of fuel and she should treat you well. As always, have a compression and leakdown check performed before you buy and have a competent tech check it over.

Not too familiar with that hull, I'd expect somewhere in the 40's with it....
