Cover Question
« on: March 19, 2008, 05:29:04 PM »

Do any of yall have the nitro cover that you can buy with the boat? I think they have 2 different styles the normal cover and the tournment cover. Looking for a new cover and trying to see if it is worth my money to buy the custom cover. If any of you have one how has it held up so far?

Thanks for the feedback
Danny

If you are just going to cover the boat for storage, I would gp with an inexpensive cover. If however you are going to tow with the cover, go for the custom or tournament grade covers, even if it is not a Nitro brand.

I purchased the tournament cover with my Nitro and have had it about three years now, I use it in towing and storage and have had no problems with it. They are pricey though.

Bass Pro has the "Exact Fit" covers for the 9 series for about $300-$400.  I had one for my 901 and thought it was a really nice cover for the money.

Yeah I ended up getting the Auro Cover, fits like a glove looks great. I also paid 800 for it and it is the top of the line one they make. Each cover is custom made. They ask if you have any electronics mounted out side you consoles and what brand of trolling motor you have as well as which motor. Overall I have been very impressed with my cover and highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a cover.

$1400!?!?  Yikes.  They are advertised for $1039 In the Nitro brochures.

Take a look at the Cabella's covers, I have one. It has lasted three years of storage and towing, still going strong. fits great.

The $1400 was in Canadian funds... still a little rich in my opinion.
But its not that much when you consider how much new gel-coat, vinyl and carpet is.
Its just a cost that comes with owning a boat!

Definately, I couldn't agree more.  Ordered my cover when I ordered the new boat.  Only about 4 weeks to go.  This wait is killing me.
