Does anyone own a Pro-Gator 180-V Fiberglass Bass Boat that are made in Benton, La ? Any information or reviews on this particular boat ? I'm looking at buying one rigged for a Mercury Engine to put my '2007 Mercury 150 H.P. EFI Outboard Motor on. Any input would be appreciated. KJV

It's actually Benton, LA. I know several folks who own Pro Gators and they love them. I seriously looked at them last year when I was shopping for a new boat. Went to the factory to ask some questions and ended up getting a tour of the place from the owner, Leroy Moore

. He builds a good boat!!

I spoke to Mr. Moore's daughter and she invited me up to the plant in Benton to check out the pro-gator bass boats. I was just wondering if any pro-gator bass boat owners would post their experiences and thoughts on their respectice pro-gator hulls performance, fishability, quality, etc.

I own a 99 ProGator 170DV that I bought brand new. I have no complaints with the boat other than storage space, but then again it is only a 17 footer! As far as handling, I feel that it handles rough water better than any other small bass boat I have ridden in.

To be honest, the only problem I see with a ProGator is resale value...with them not being a BIG name, they don't hold their value like the more popular names. If you are planning to keep it for a great length of time as I have mine, that should not be an issue though!

I dont know where you are located but Mr Moore would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Look in the ProGator section and you will see construction photos of the XTREME. They build them all with the same care regradless of the model.
