TBF Youth State Champions!
« on: June 10, 2008, 08:48:41 AM »

Our two TBF State Champions have been crowned! In our 11-14 age group Adam Burkhart from Arvada Co. had an amazing day by weighing in over 20 fish and his 5 biggest weighed  8lbs. 1 1/2 oz, with a big fish of 2 lbs. 1 3/4 oz. His Captain for the day was the magical Matt Massey operating his Legend. Adam is a new comer to the sport of Bass fishing but definitely has a passion for it and I'm pretty sure he's hooked now! In the 15-18 age group the one and only Cody Ralph from Thornton cleaned up by weighing in 8 lbs.14 1/4 oz. with the Big Bass of the tournament 2 Lbs. 14 1/4 ozs. From my boat I was able to see Cody in action and he is a focused, level headed competitor who will definitely go far in this sport. Cody's captain was the legend himself Curtis Welch! By far one of the best sticks in the state! All of this would not have been possible if it wasn't for Don Speas and Falcon Tackle. Don worked tirelessly to ensure everything was in order and he presented all of the kids with gift certificates to Falcon Tackle! These two Youths will be representing Colorado at the National Guard Youth World Championship in South Carolina in August so everyone give them a round of applause. I am really proud of the kids that participated in this tournament. These kids are GOOD. There were only ounces that separated them all. Thank You to all the boaters that volunteered their time and boats as well. More results and pictures will be on our website in the near future. WWW. 5280BassHunters.com
