Topic: Dumb question. Whats this extra hole for? (Read 800 times)

I launched my boat yesterday and started taking on water. I knew I had the plug in so I fugued there was something else wrong. I pulled the boat out and found I had th plug in the wrong hole!! Question is what is that hole for? There are three on the back of the boat. One for the live wells, one for the bilge, and the third one is a mastery. What could it be for? There is a hose hooked up to it but I can't tell where it goes. I only have the two pumps, live well and bilge. Any ideas?

You have a live well pump, that's one, you have a over flow from you live well and it's probably the same as your drain for your livewell that's two, then you have your drain hole for your boat, that would be number three. Your bildge does not shoot out the bottom, the spout should be some where on the rear cap of your boat.

Your right on the bildge it shoots out the side. And I guess that 3rd hole is the over flow for the live wells like you said. Makes sence.

Your probably right. Mine was on an old Hustler (boat). I was slightly impared when I put it in. I wonder why they made them holes the same size ?

I think they made them the same size just toscrew with people.
