Color sanding is sanding the clear coat with 1000 - 2000 grit wet sand paper, until the clear coat is smooth as glass, really makes the color POP out at ya .. also removes the orange peel that occurs when spraying clear coats, the more coats of clear the worse the orange peel effect becomes.

Ok got it, thanks.  :)

Looks GREAT!! boy when you get it color sanded and buffed be sure you wear your sun glasses its going to SHINE!! color sanding and buffing is best way to bring a boat back looking good without painting it too,,I have buffed out many over the years that was just cloudy and looked really bad, but be prepared for a HARD days work if you plan on buffin out a boat, you have to keep the buffer running fast and keep it moving on the surface or you will burn it thru the clear, its lots of work to color sand, buff out , polish and then hand wax a boat but the results are well worth it, makes washing the boat a breaze everything will allmost rinse off

boat looks awesome. I got a question for you. I plan on re doing the paint job on the cap to my motor this winter. What did you use to get the old paint off? Did you just sand it?

Yep sanded with a Dual Action air sander and 120 grit then 220, then filled or repaired any chips cracks and pin holes, then prime with Nason epoxy 1:1 no sand primer , urethane base coat and 4 coats of urethane clear coat

Oh you have no idea lol .. I could do so much more on this boat .. I could easily spend another 6 months just on paint , I have soo much more Id like to do to it .. but Id like to go fishing again soon.. I just want to get it done at this point and back on the water .. I could also easily spend a good 15000 on other things like a new etech 150 hp, new 80lb thrust TM, GPS speedometer, new custom mag wheels I designed , and on and on .. but I gotta stop somewhere lol

Well fellas .. and ladies

This post is about to come to a close ..
The boat is done ... except the trailer .. trailer will come later ..
But the boat is complete .. and ready for the water .. if it would quit raining I will get it out on the lake for more final photos ... Man Im sick of rain .. this is the wettest Aug and Sept I can remember.. If the weather will coporate I will get it out sometime over the weekend.. not that Im afraid I will melt ... but I want to try a couple different props .. and some other testing .. easier when not raining
