NEW FOR 2009!
« on: February 24, 2009, 11:48:24 AM »

All new 2009 Sabertooths are now built with Kevlar/Carbon fiber materials and epoxy
resins. These boats are very lightweight and much stronger than the standard layups.
This process is being offered at no additional cost. This greatly improves the performance
of the boat.  :shocking:

I have talked with Troy and obtained some pricing.  I will be ordering in the near future.

Sabertooth,

When you say these new boats are lighter and stronger, do you have any numbers on the weight?  I'm thinking that in addition to being a whole lot faster with one of the higher performance outboards, it should also run pretty strong with a much less expensive 200 or 225 motor, correct?

I would imagine too that IF a person could keep his/her foot from the floor, it will be a lot more fuel efficient as well, right?

You didn't screw around with the storage or layout of the boat did you?   ^-^

Because when I had my Cat, I absolutely loved the fact that I never owned a boat with the amount of room and storage I had!

Steve,
The weight has been reduced to 800lbs for hull and deck. A fully rigged boat is in the 1800 to 1900lbs range. This is a big difference from 2400 to 2500 lbs of our previous rigs. Speed is incresed, and the smaller engines will work much better.
It is actualy better for fuel economy to get the higher HP engine and keep your foot
off the floor. Nothing else has changed on the boat.  ~c~

Also new for 09, NO MORE GELCOAT! All boats are now painted (thank god). No more fading, chalking, dull looks. These high quality paints are awesome. They never loose their luster. Cleaning is a breeze. One good wax and look out. Sunglasses are a must.
This is also at no additional cost! ~c~

I can't find the disc of pictures I had from when I owned a cat boat, but I know if you go to laniercustomboats.com they have a bunch of photos there of their boats.
