The hull and trailer are both 1997 but the outboard is fresh from the shipping crate

Its a Champion 202 in near mint conditionwith a 6" hydraulic jack plate and a brand new Yamaha V-Max 250 HPDI

Should get me a little over 80 mph when all the set up is complete. Now we just need a warm front to knock these darn temps in the right direction

Thanks! It was used very little by the previous owners. The transom was heat checked and was dry as a bone

Congrats Karl, I know you have been wanting to upgrade since Noah let the animals off the ark! That is gonna be fun on the river!! You didn't get out this weekend at all??!! Got temps here in the mid 60s today and I think touching 70 tomorrow before it all goes cold again.

I did get out yesterday and managed to catch one before the trolling motor went on the fritz. A trip back to where I work (We are an authorized Minn Kota Repair shop) and 15 minutes later I had a new armature and was headed back for round two

Didn't catch anything at the second stop but the weather was great!!! Today we are suppose to be near 80* but I'll be working all day. Might try and get out after 5pm and see if I can manage a couple bass before sunset

I put the new prop on last night so I need to get out anyway and try to crack that 80 mph mark

Great to hear. I hope you get out again this afternoon, it's gonna turn cooler again for a few weeks before it's really fishing weather. Of course cooler is better than ice and you can bet I am fishing somewhere.....

There are 4 footers rolling down the river right now

I finally get to test this hull out and see if it lives up to its name as being one of the best rough water rides ever built

Man I remember as a kid jumping those rollers up in Prairie Du Chien in a jon boat, following the barges and not even flinching... Man I am getting old. That sounds like a kick in the pants..... Have a blast!! tic toc....

I have the same boat. How is your speed with the 250 yammy? I have been thinking about upgrading my merc to that same motor but was wondering how the combination would work. Oh and yes I can verify that the ride is uncomparable to anything else on the water in a comparable size. I have had my 202 in 4 and 5 footers in competition while other boats couldn't leave the marina.

Still on my 10 hour break-in, up to 6.8 hours now

Had it to 73.5 mph a week ago with 2 big guys

3/4 tank of gas and full gear and was turning about 5300 with more throttle to go. I'm running the 27 T1 VMAX prop on a 6" Hyd. jack plate. I have a few knowledgable friends that are crunching numbers and say it'll probably be a low to mid 80 mph boat when all is said and done.
