WC report 20090508
« on: May 11, 2009, 07:53:12 AM »

Got on the water about 1230. water temp 61-63°.  Clarity at least 3'.

Caught two on a GP shaky head, then the front came through (about 2:00 PM).  Winds doubled to about 25 out of the NW.  Caught two more on a tube (Black/blue).  Then the winds shifted to straight northerly, and gusts easily topped the mid 30s (knots) and the lake became unfishable.  I trailered before 3:30.

All fish I caught were either in grass or on wood.

Thanks for the report, sounds like a tough day with the winds! Still managed a few fish though, good job. When is the spawn in your neck of the woods?

Id say, that is lake dependent...but in general, it has started with this moon and will go in waves into June.
