In case anyone is interested....
Have been getting some pretty good numbers on lake Harding, mainly fishing beaver type baits around the docks, fishing fairly slow. Also found a flat just off the main lake that was holding some fish in 5-8 feet of water. Never backed off and tried to fish the ledge, so who knows how much better it could have been.....
I've been getting a LOT of short strikes on a 7" green pumkin finesse worm with a pegged 1/4oz. tungsten weight, and still managing a few, but as of right now, the misses are far outweighing the catches. The best thing was sighting a fish that I would bet my house weighed 5 pounds!!!! 5 pounds is good for just about any lake, but for Harding, thats AMAZING! She was in about a foot of water on that same flat, just looking for something to chew on. The only reason I saw her was because I got my shaky head hung up and went over to get it. I saw her about 2 seconds before the trolling motor hit rock and spooked her. Just nice to confirm that there are fish in that lake over 2 1/2 pounds.
