I don't know for sure but here is some info I found.
Approx 2002-2003 time-frame and found others say that Allison started around 1987 & veryone else caught up around the mid 90's

Wood is not an issue if it has been sealed properly!!! "All composite" is a great marketing strategy.....nothing more...
I had a 1990 with wood and an 1999 with wood. Nary a problem!!!
