Lake Minnetonka Fishing Info
« on: August 03, 2009, 03:52:24 PM »

wisconsinrod asked in another thread for some help and I found a guy I went to school with way back when has a good buddy that is in the Silverado Pro-Am league who knows Tonka well.   Anyway I know this info is late for wisconsinrod but maybe it will help others who are fishing Minnetonka.

He knows popular spots for Bass and Musky but walleye are hard to find this time of year.

As of right now Smallies: weedlines in 15-20 feet of water. Off the point in Wayzata bay. Lafayette Bay on the south side.
Large Mouth: Under docks, in shaded areas 5 -10 FOW. Crystal Bay and Cook's bay.

Good Luck and post some fishing reports when you can, even slow days on the water are nice to see by other anglers; might give them a clue on other things/areas to try.  The more reports that are made the more anglers come here to read them and post more of their own.  The LA fishing reports started years ago from one lone bass club and has grown in to Ultimatebass.com so all it takes is a few to get things started.

See You On The Water.
