"hey dude, I think she's flooded"

I got off of work a little early today and decided to go fishing. When I got in the boat,
all she would do is turn over. I squeezed the bulb till it felt firm and held in the choke for about 3 or 4 seconds and nothing but a starter workout. I've never had this happen
before but usually I only give the bulb a couple of pumps. I've got a 150 mariner magnum III, are these older carbed motors bad about flooding. The good news is I caught a three and a half pounder right in front of the park ranger while trolling away
from the ramp.

Not familiar with that model engine, but I know on my Mercury 150 XR6, if it's not trimmed to level it can be a PITA sometimes to fire. Once level, she is happy.
Only other thought is maybe a clogged fuel filter or fouled plugs.

If it's flooded you'd see fuel evidence floating on the water and smell gas. Sure you don't have the kill switch hanging on your belt on it's partly pulled. any spark?, Spray WD-40 in the carbs? May take some looking.

I wish I could say I never had the kill switch 'engaged'... makes for a tough time starting. Everything sounds great...like it ought to go...
always a good idea to check that...
