I fished around Old Lock 15 at Holt Lake Sunday afternoon and had a great trip! The water temp. was 76 with a little current and stained color to it. I caught around 20 spots within a short 2 1/2 hour trip that afternoon. I concentrated on my usual points by throwing a shaky head with a u-tale junebug worm. The majority of the fish seemed to be holding in a consistent 10-15 ft of water. This cooler weather is definitely going to help the fishing at Holt. I fish up there at least once a week and this past trip was one of the best trips I've been on at Holt all year! I fished a series 5 sexyshad crankbait and didn't have any luck. The crankbait bite has got to be good up at Holt right now. I just didn't throw it much because the worm bite was so good.
