They are still biting
« on: November 20, 2009, 08:54:36 PM »

This thread is dead, no reportd since July!!! I was out today and had 11 smallies, 1 pike and a walleye!!  Biggest smallie was 3 1/2lbs, and all fish were caught on a jerkbait. Water temp was about 47 degrees, wind blown banks and breaks were the key. I hope to be fishing well into December!!!!

I just drove across hwy 8 from Saint paul to Rhinelander a few days ago and all the lakes still looked VERY fishable.   ~gf

Even saw some baitfish activity on top on a few of the lakes.  ~fff

The bite has slowed down, had 1 16" largie yesterday, 1 22" walleye, and 10-12 pike with the biggest being 16-18 pounds...it was a monster. Also had a 10lb pike, all caught in the wind on a jerkbait!! I hope to get a couple more weeks in before ice up, water temp 42-44 degrees.
