I think a lot of people over work the senko it was designed to be foolproof the bait works itself with all the different ways you can rig the senko it can be presented as a totally different bait each time you use it with that said I think the next time I'm on the water I will try it with a blade
So I take it a 3/0 wide gap hook like i would put onother plastics would work fine for even the wacky rigged setup?
For wacky rigging senkos I put an o-ring on the center of the senko and use a #1 or a 1/0 size octopus hook through the o-ring. Never had a problem with hook sets unless the bass was smaller than the bait.I use this set up for 4" and 5" senkos. I would use a slightly larger octopus hook for a 6" or bigger senko.
My buddy is having a fit that I caught a fish while hung up on the dock.I thought how can I reproduce that same effect as being hung up on the dock.
I am definitely going to work on fishing with senkos this season. Would this be a good go bait during a bass tournament when the fish are pressured. I am going to be fishing a big tournament season and I need a good setup to catch fish when everything else fails.
