Invisible swivel?
« on: February 04, 2010, 05:04:57 AM »

Have any of you guys seen this or tried it even?

It's a Flouro swivel, and it looks pretty interesting.  Not only for it's visibility factor but it's weight factor as well.
Kinda pricey though, a pack of 5 for 5 bucks plus shipping. InvisaSwivel....  I will give it a try come spring and let you know what I think.

Another factor I hadn't even thought of until now, less wear and tear on your rod guides......

I'd like to see some strength test on them, might be just the thing for c-rigs if they take the punishment from the weights and hook sets with heavy line/fish.

These are super strong. You can take and bend them back and forth they will not break. They will go back to their original form.
I am in the proses of getting those set up as a site sponsor. I'm waiting to hear from Mike or Laurie to set up all details. I'm sponsored by this company and he wants to get this product out there. If you do a lot of Carolina rig fishing this would be a great tool to have. I have already used them myself and they do work.

Hey Fogy. These come in different sizes. I use a palomar knot on everything I throw. The 2 sizes that would be best for this knot is the 35lb and the 55lb size. The small hole on each end is big enough to thread the line through it twice.
I do a lot of c-rig fishing I would say 70% of the time. If I can set all this up as a site sponsor for UB. I will write a artical for the home page.

Would be great to get them on here, but you can still do an article even if they don't.  Just write it up and send to Bobber   :)

Hey Kevin, I fish a C-rig alot!  It shines this time of year.  I can't even begin to think of how many times it's saved my butt in a tournament.  I'd really like to take a look at these swivels.  Let me know where I can get some.  If they need a rep here in the Central Louisiana area, let me know.  I'm a Pro-Staffer for USA Custom Rods, OMEGA Custom Tackle, and BTS and Line & Lure.  We've got several large sporting goods stores around here that would JUMP on those!!!

That's nifty looking swivel. Another plus I can see off the cuff is that there won't be any chance of corrosion.  ~c~

Thats a great deal for us salt and brackish guys.

Corrosion is rough on the cheaper swivels, and stainless costs pretty much the same as they do if not more.
