Typically (in my area) they do not start the topwater feeding on frogs, bugs, snakes, rats and poppers until the post-spawn... I think that is especially so this year in my stretch of FL since the nighttime temps are still in the low to mid 40s

Sounds like a fun tactic and I am curious to see if I can catch some on this now as the Bass are bedding. ~c~
I caught a 6 and a 3 1/2 on it at the Bend on Thursday!  I was throwing it in the middle of the hay grass in about 3-5' of water.  Had to walk it REAL slow.  They just came up and sucked it under.
