« on: January 22, 2010, 12:54:44 PM »

everyone that fish creeks or lakes off the bank becareful, im in auburn al. and i took the ole lady out to a local creek that don't get fished that much on tuesday.  thinking that i would get her in on some action a few ours before the front moved in, well it was only about 68 degrees and i went to step over a rock ledge and as i stepped i looked down and saw a moccasin open its mouth and bend his neck ready to strike, fortunately he was sluggish cuz the cold, but be aware they are out right now

I never would have thought they would be out right now.  That snake must have been looking for some food.

With all the cold weather youns been having back there I would of thought too that it would be kinda early for them to be out.

thats what i thought as well, so i was kind of carelessly steppin over the rocks working my way down to the bank and it showed its teeth, but like i said it was sluggish!!  me and my gf looked around the rocks and noticed it was hollow under it so i figured it was a den and he was just out catching the sun
