Beaver Lake Fishing report 2 Feb 2010
« on: February 02, 2010, 08:43:01 PM »

Had to get out today so hit the lake at 2:30 pm and had a limit of strippers in a hour. Had a friend come out and he had a limit quick. I had a few get off that seemed to be really big but the ones we landed were around 15lbs.

Swimbaits and jerk baits worked about the same, but on the hard jerkbaits we got hits that didn't come back, they hit the swimbaits over and over until they were hooked.

I didn't even look at the water temp since the fishing was so fast, fish were up in two or three feet of water.

I didn't find any Bass today, but with big fish like that it was a great winter day.

I did lose a good rod and reel and had battery trouble and had to get back on the trolling motor.

There was a shad die off going on, so find a back cove were the wind is blowing in the dead shad and hang on to the rod tight.
