I'm considering buying a '08 XD20 w/ a 200 Optimax at a really good price (yeah, I know, the boat is underpowered, but I don't need to go that fast). I'm just going to fish. No tournaments. How does the Bullet compare with other boats just as a fishing boat? I have had no experience with Bullets, and they are not prevalent in my area. Any advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I promise you that you won't be disappointed and once you get it, you won't want another boat. By the way, 200 hp is NOT underpowered on that rig.

I have a 98 20 ft bullet. It's virtually the same design. I love it. The only complaint is the drivers area is a little cramped for a big guy. Mine has a 200 merc. Believe me, unless you are planning on drag racing, it's not underpowered at all. With the correct prop and settings that boat has a fast hole shot and will easily hit 70mph with room to spare, I just don't like to take it much faster than that.

love mine, and the wife loves it also(I get smacked when I go over 80),the front deck is a little small if you like to have a bunch of rods out,I usually only have 4 on the deck.
The ride is great on rough water, But mine is a 21xd ,225 promax,a shorter
