I buy red , black or bronze hooks, what ever is on sale because
RED anything, is all BS markting,. It has neither a deterrent affect or a positive effect on line, hooks or lures.Depends on what the company is trying to sell If its hooks, the fish cant see the red, so they dont know the bait has hooks, now if the bait is red, then the fish can see it and attack it, with the same vision that prevents them from seeing red hooks, And none of us or the fish can see that red

line anyways!!!!
Who knows if they can see hooks and or line and if it makes a difference in the long run anyways?
The pliable qualities of the hooks have nothing to do with color it has to do with mils, the measurement of the wire the hooks are forged out of. Aberdeen hooks being made from a smaller diameter wire tend to pull out faster than a sprot hook, which is made from a higher and thicker mil rated wire to begin with, Strength has nothing to do with color, it is the metal wire the hook is made from
Match the hatch is for trout fishing, a lot of times it means nothing while bass fishing. Why will a bass hit a Carolina rigged space monkey, with reckless abandon when it looks like nothing i ever saw swimming around. The same can be said for a lot of creature and reaction baits. They look like nothing that swims. How come I have caught LMB on lakes with Bluegill colored baits where shad is the primary forage. Why do crawfish baits work in bodies of water where there are no craw fish, why was the purple worm so successful. Matching the hatch is highly overrated in the world of bass fishing if you ask me.Please post a picture of anything a fish eats that loks like a buzz bait

So you know i am qualified to make this statement my biggest bass is 7lbs8Ounces, ( I guess that makes me 1/2 as qualified as you) caught it with live bait, mustad brown 1 ought hook and 8 lb stren mono in green
