Table rock lake vacation
« on: February 12, 2010, 04:55:22 PM »

I am heading to table rock on a vacation April 26th Thur the 30th we are planning on fishing out of Kimberling city. Any pattern and lake info would be great. I also would like prop info colorado has speed restrictions on our lakes, so I have not had the ability to determine what prop is appropriate for that altitude my current set up is 2004 triton tr 20x with a 225 optimax and a 21p tempest plus

The Nebraska State Federation will be happening, out of Kimberling, those exact days.  Fishing it for first time, so can't tell you how much traffic will be at that particular ramp.

Good luck.

I looked at the Neb bass web site it does not show the ramp you guys will use I know that the ramp we will use is highway 13 public use area, Do you have an idea of how many boats will launch for your state tournament.  We have family in springfield and they said that ramp does not have alot of parking so your tournament could affect us launching our boat and we may have to find another ramp thanks.

I don't think there are prop restrictions I was wondering about what pitch to run on my boat? my prop is a 21 pitch at the moment but that is probably not enough for table rock thinking about 26 p but not sure.

Most of the locals don't put in at the KC 13 ramp.  It changed to $5.00 each time or you can buy an annual pass.  Nice ramp but parking is limited there.  I fish the AIA too and we put in at Ahoy's which is just down the road from KC13.  I usually put in at Mill Creek when I fish that area, which is just across the bridge.

Im not savy on prop pitches, but there is no day time speed limit on Table Rock.  There is a night time speed limit.

We will have to wait until we get closer to that time to determine patterns, but generally speaking an early morning top water (red fin, spook) might still be going.  A jig with a grub is almost always good in the spring.  I am partial to Eakins jigs with a double tailed grub trailer pretty much year round.  I think it will be too late, but many like to keep on the stick bait (McSticks, Rogues).

You can also never go wrong dragging a C-rigged fish doctor around on main lake or secondary points.

Weather and water temp will be the main factors as everywhere I suppose.

I fish Table Rock all the time, 35mph from sundown to sun up (night) other than the No Wake zones, there is NO speed restrictions as long as you can control your boat...Steve

It still depends on weather and water temp, but guessing this far out the small mouth will be closer to the dam at that time of the year and large mouth you might want to head up the white.
