Any Pomme De Terre info ?
«

I'm going to be fishing Pomme De Terre for the 1'st time on the 21'st of march. Will the usual for pre-spawn bass fishing be the norm ( suspending jerkbaits, jigs, deep cranks ) be what I need to concentrate on or will the water be warm enough for other lures like lipliss cranks, grubs & mid to swallow cranks or even topwaters things i should add to my game plan.
I'll be launching from the Old State Park ramp & any info on what to use to where i should look for fish will be greatly appreciated.
thanks for the help.

I haven't been there in years, would love to hear how it's been myself. However in the past you are right on target. This has been a hard winter for everyone so it may be in the very early stages of pre spawn, slow and patient will be the key unless there is a warming trend right before you get to go.

yea right now the way its looking its gonna have to be some major warm ups happen quick. Like Mike said fish it SLOW. its gonna be pre spawn so key on on the staging areas. if the water temps start to rise it will get good.

One little bit of info that may be helpful and save you some money is, That lake is full of just below the serface stumps, espciely in Coopers cove, lots of fish but watch your lower unit (I speak from experiance)...Unless the water is 3' or higher above normal pool, when you start getting into coves you need to pick up the big motor and use the TM to access...Steve
