Most landing nets will float but here is an insurance policy just in case.Take the end cap off and spray insulating foam inside. The kind used in home improvement projects to seal around widows and doors. Works great and if your net gets knocked overboard you will not lose it.

Great tip, just be careful if you have a telescoping net, you don't want to disable that feature by overfilling.  A little bit of this foam goes a loooooong way!
