I fished Newton Lake, IL Saturday 2/27/2010.

Water temp at ramp 56
Water temp at big pipe 62
Water temp all the way up 70

Water clarity: good
Normal pool.

Bass seemed to be on and suspended over on primary points that were holding shad. Main lake was full of active fish. 10-15 ft deep. Didn't see much action in coves.

The entire lake is now open.
