netmansc, it may be that the Yozuri lures are perceived as saltwater lures. That's a mistake if that's the case, they make some real good ones that work great on bass. I don't have any of the hardcore series, but do have several other Yozuri lures, and have done real good with them. Some of them, I originally purchased for Striped bass fishing, but have caught Largemouths & Smallmouths on them too.  ;D

I never really thought about them being primarily saltwater but we had some great luck with them in the smaller sizes.  My fishing partner fishes another tourney series with his father and the hardcore helped them this weekend tremendously.  The color selection is not always the besyt from the factory so we paint most of ours.

Im glad you guys mentioned Yozuri.  They are every bit as good IMO as LC.  the Sashimi versions look awesome, havnt had a chance to fish them yet, but I did look at them in the pool, and the action is great.  By the way whats this saltwater stuff youre talking about? ;)

My advice would be to do some research.  I personally love bomber lures.  I occassionally will fish DD22s if im crankin deep but I catch alot of fish with Bomber lures.  As far as the high $ crankbaits I really couldnt tell You if its worth the extra money because I've not used them, but do the research and pick the lure that best fits your budget.  When your crankin your goin to lose some lures.  I cant bring myself to buy a $15 lure that I may lose on any cast.  And like I said the Bomber lures work great for me.

Same here... although with 12 lb Pline CX and 20+ lb Power Pro, I tend to bend the hook on them before I lose the lure... good thing I always have needle nose pliers with me to bend it back, or replacement hooks if it needs replacing.

I use LC 75% of the time because #1 they usually need very little tuning out of the package. #2 the tend to stay tuned much longer than the cheaper baits. #3 I haven't had the problems with Bills coming off and hook eyes pulling out that I have had with the cheaper baits.  With that said, action is everything!  There are days that the fish won't bite anything but a Bomber Fat free,  as far as rattle baits the LC LV series just flat outproduces all others for me most of the time.  I think it is a size thing.  The LV 500 max is a 3/4 oz bait that is the same size as a 1/2 oz BL trap.
