The ice is broken up and clearing out, Thank God! It's been a long cold winter and I'm ready to get the boat back in the water!

When I first read this I thought a levee broke or something. Living in the south we don't hear terms like broke free unless it is dangerous or expensive LOL

My local pound is opening up really well. Looking at the weather, I should have my first largemouth by next week

Pool 13 broke out a couple of days ago so if all goes well and the weather holds out I'm hittin' the water on Monday

I came through bellevue today and there was alot of small ice coming down up there. Backwaters still had ice, but it didn't look very good and I'm pretty sure there was some open pockets here and there. If the temps stay up I think by next weekend the backwaters might be open.

Not bad, I took it in on last friday and it was done by sunday. It must have been an easy fix.

Gorman went up yesterday to try out a lure for me and said he could see it coming under water over 30 feet away so thats clear to me for this time of year

ah, the plot thickens!! So he was trying out a lure eh? Is this some kind of new Karu product?? C'mon Karl, spill the beans. But yeah that is pretty clear and he caught some fish to?

I'm going to talk to Randy tomorrow about buying his boat. I know I know, I always said I'd never buy a ranger, but after I sell mine, I can just about pay for his in cash so that is definately a plus and I know it has been taken good care of. So hopefully I have a new boat soon!!

I'm throwing around the idea of doing the gateways again, but I have plenty of time to think about it since the first tourney is still about 2 months away. I might try to do some aba's again as well. I like the boater/nonboater format.

AWESOME!! Took it out for the first time today. its going to take a little bit to get used to not having a hotfoot. But it fished great, nice stable platform, rode pretty good and it was way faster. I hit 68mph today with 2 people, full tank of gas and all of our gear. It was pretty squirelly and its going to take a little driving, but man it was fun driving around. I just wish I would have caught some fish. Water temps around sabula are around 45-46.

Congrats on the new boat. I was going to use my day to get mine ready to go out tomorrow. But my plans got changed. The water will warm up nice this coming week.

Went Sunday and caught three, fished for 1.5 hrs, water was 46 degrees tough bite but still fun. ....................Until i learned that I lost out on $1,500 from nate getting the boat that i talked to him about on here, even though i knew nothing about the contest.

1500!!! I didn't realize he was paying that much for commision, lol. Yeah I pretty much gotta give you credit for making me buy it, but your the only one that didn't try to bribe me.

Even scott called me and told me if I said it was him he would give me some of the commision.

I told Randy that Karl and Rudy sent me though and I don't think he's giving up any commision.

I went out sat in the boat for a bit. Water temp around sabula was 45. No bites. Should be good this weekend.

I hope you like it, it is a very nice boat. Fishing should be good already tomorrow, but i wasnt too dissapointed with 3 on Sunday with how cold the water was

I was catching them pretty good last year when the water temp was around 49, I just said this weekend, because its the next time I will be able to go, but I bet your right, tomorrow should start heating up. I have a 3 day weekend so I'll be on the water alot this weekend if the weather cooperates.

Good luck you guys, I have Friday off and I have to decide what I want to do. I have been invited to go walleye fishing, and also fish a private pond. But I really should get my boat on the water and make sure that every thing is working. It is supposed to be windy on friday so I might end up at the farm pond.
