7'6' MH Abu Vendetta for Flipping
« on: March 08, 2010, 12:15:40 PM »

Just getting some thoughts on whether you all think that the new Abu Garcia Vendetta rod 7'6" MH rod would be good for flipping. I don't flip enough to justify having a dedicated flipping rod. With this rod i could also throw on DD crankbaits or a carolina rig. Let me know your thoughts? Thanks

I don't know anything about those rods, but what I did was bought a BPS MegaCast combo with a 6'6" rod and am using it for flipping.  I have found that I can be more accurate with it than I can with the longer rods, and it is a good rod and reel combo for $39.99 I think...

If I were you, and I was going to spend $80 on a rod, I would get to BPS and get a combo with a medium heavy action and a decent reel while they have a sale going on.

There will be more people stop by in a while to give you their input.  Good luck this year flipping.

I just recently bought a 7'0 medium heavy and absolutely love it for the money.  The 7'6 H is now on my list of things to buy.  For the money you cant go wrong with the vendetta.
