Just Back From El Salto
« on: March 11, 2010, 09:45:23 PM »

I just got back from Lake El Salto last night and finally got some pic downloaded.  All I can say it is the best Bass Lake in the World.  Averaged 150 to 180 fish a day most between 4 and 6 lbs.  Our group had 6 fish over 10 lbs  the biggest 2 was a 11.0 that I caught on day 2 and 11.1 caught by my buddy Mark on day 3.  Most of the fish I caught were caught on Swimbaits with a steady retrieve just  barly under the surface of the water.  Other patterns that produced well were weightless flukes dyed completly Chartruese, Caroline rigged 8" Zoom Magnum Lizards, and Texas rigged lizards.  If you are looking for a trip of a lifetime look into www.mexicobasstours.com and C. Wayne Nolan out of Lewisville, Texas and you will not be disappointed.  If you plan on booking a trip tell C. Wayne that Scott Clawson recomended him and he will make the trip booking process go easy.    The lodge was great with the perfect mix of great service and Mexican Hopitality.  It was money well spent and will be booking another trip next year.  Here are a few pics to enjoy.

Just wanted to confirm, was that 150 as in one hundred and fifty?  I knew that lake was amazing, just not that amazing.

Great trip.  Congrats.  I took my son on a trip to El Salto 4 years ago.  A strong front came through and made it hard, but still caught plenty.  Just no big ones.

Yes estimated 150 a day.  We counted until lunch on day 2 and we had 93 by 12:15 most were in the 4 to 6 lbs range.
