Grand Bayou ABA (UPDATED, PLZ READ)
« on: March 14, 2010, 06:35:38 PM »

American Bass Anglers will be hosting it's next event on Grand Bayou this coming Sunday, 21 March 2010.  I was down there for a few hours today and the water is heavily stained from the recent rains.  Temps ranged from 55 on the south end to 64 on the north end.  Overall, the lake is in great shape and from the fish that were caught and the fish that I heard were caught from other anglers...  Y'all may want to be there!!!!!!!!!

Just a hint...  I know for a fact of 19 over slot fish that were caught in two days.

See you at the ramp!

The bites were not fast and furious but when you get bit, it is a good fish.  For all that will be there remember there is a $3 launch fee to be paid as soon as you pull in the parking area.  there is a small drop box with tickets to fill out on the left hand side of the driveway.  The main park entrance will not open until 7 AM.  I hope to have a good turnout and I will see you all Sunday morning.

OK, Mother Nature is being a jack a@@ about tomorrow!!!  (Not you Laurie, we love you!  hahaha)

The ABA on Grand Bayou tomorrow is still on.  I know some of you may not make the trip due to the forecast but it is too late for me to make a call and cancel.  I fear the word would not get out to some.

Now, IF, conditions are too dangerous with the predicted high winds I will cancel ON SITE tomorrow morning.  I will also ask everyone at the safety meeting.

The only reason I am doing it this way is because, well, look outside!  Today is an 80% chance of rain?????    I do not want to cancel and have tomorrow turn out to be a nice day then sit home and be mad.

I will be at the launch tomorrow morning.  Just so you all don't get confused, my truck is now a black 2010 Dodge Ram.
