Bull Shoals 03/12/2010
« on: March 15, 2010, 05:04:07 PM »

Friday I put in at K-Dock and ended up fishing from Tucker Hollow to Beaver Creek. The day was cloudy and drizzly with light to no winds. The main lake around K-Dock to Beaver was 47F with the pockets and creeks being a little warmer. Beaver Creek itself was 51F according to my temp gauge.
Caught several short fish on wiggle warts and gitzits fishing the long channel swings in both the creeks and main lake. The main lake temp down the lake in the Tucker Hollow area was 44-46F with Bear Creek being 48F in the back which had a better bite. Had 1 nice largemouth on V 209 wart and 3 spotted bass that kept. The creeks had a little murk with the main lake being clear up to about K-Dock. Had one really nice spotted bass keeper in Mincy Creek between Tucker and K-Dock. Should have jerked rogues on the main lake but I was looking for numbers of smaller fish to eat. Gotta keep my wife supplied in fish to eat ;D. In all had 5 keepers. Might get to go back later this week

Sounds like we fish the same areas and same techniques.  I like putting in at Tucker Hollow.

If I lived closer to Tucker thats where I would fish most of the time. For me, you cant get there from here haha. I can put in at Buck Creek and its still a little bit of ride to get there. Most tournaments are out of Pontiac or Bull Shoals Dock so its quite a run up to that neck of the woods. It is by far my favorite area of the lake to fish.

Techno, where are you from?

I am from Nixa.  I can head down 65 and over on 86.  Where are you at?  I am in a perfect place as I am not far from Table Rock (Mill Creek, Aunt's Creek, Cape Fair) and not much further to Pomme or Bull Shoals.
