I am pressed for time right now, but alot of us are in the BC area & fish Cypress/BB quite a bit!

I live on the BB side & usually do good with either a Baby One Minus or a small spinnerbait this time of year working shallow banks & the flats on the north end of the lake.

Welcome to UB and North LA! BA gave you some good advice. The warming weather should put these fish up shallow real quick, the next 2-3 weeks will be great fishing as conditions are set for the spawn.

Lipless crankbaits and swimbaits should also produce. If you see someone on the lake with a UB sticker, stop and say "howdy"!

They are still catching some crappie deep on Cypress...I may have a better report for you this evening. This morning when I came by the corner store, there were several people stopped getting minnows...a couple of them I knew so I should be able to get a report.

The latest I heard for crappie was drifting minnows just off the bottom in the middle of the lake. If I went today, I would start in about 15-18ft of water drifting. Start on bottom & reel up a crank at a time every so often until you find the right depth.

Also, if you are familiar with Bisteneau, they have been catching them on the channel edges around Port O Bisteneau.
