First on VibraShock
« on: March 17, 2010, 03:27:04 PM »

Caught my first fish on the Vibrashock today.
The new (for me) lake i found has pretty muddy water, maybe a foot of visbility on a good day.  I was trying to think of something i could use out there and remembered that I had a vibrashock that I purchased from KaRu a while back.  I thought heck, why not, and grabbed the vibrashock and threw a Fat albert grub on the back.  Second or third cast, about halfway back, the rod quits vibrating and I set the hook.  The rod loads and the fish takes off.  I finally get him to the bank and weigh him at 2.74 lbs.  I catch another bass a little bit later to wrap up an hours worth of fishing and he goes barely over a lb, but he is a nice little bass none the less.  So, I finally used the vibrashock and it produced nicely for me.  I'll see if I can add a picture to this post.

Good job Gangly  ~c~ what color did you have?

Man I love this lure it has put more fish in the boat for me over the years than any other lure I've ever used.

Extreme Bluegill with a Green Pumpkin ZOOM Fat Albert Grub.  The larger fish came off a faster retrieve that started as soon as it hit the water.  The smaller fish came when i let it sink to the bottom them slow rolled it to me.  It seems as though they almost hook themselves with it.  The smaller one was perfectly fine being pulled along on his side until he saw me on the bank then took off, I didnt even know he was hooked until I got him close enough to see him.  This did really well for me today and I will definately have it at the top of my tacklebag unless it really dive bombs in productivity.  Was really surprised how easy it was to fish, I mean jeez, just wait to you feel it quit vibrating then set the hook, lol, that simple. :)

After using the Shock I gave away all my other non-shock bladed jigs and gave them their own dedicated rod. They flat out catch fish anytime, anywhere.

Congrats! I got my first one on a shock last year. It seems when they go for it they usually slam it. I like to fish it through flooded timber or just fish it like a jig.

I love those zoom fat albert grubs.  I use them for all my swimjigs and bladed swimjigs.
