The females will likely be deeper or move up close to the power plant drainage area which will typically be warmer water. The males that protect the eggs will likely stay on the bed even with the cold front, but they will either be real lethargic and not move for anything, or very defensive and nail anything that comes close. The best bite may be early on before the actual front itself moves through, and the rest of the day I suspect will be very rough.
This is a rough time of year for the spawn because of so many colder than usual cold fronts moving through.
Also because of the tough bite this year, cheaters have been resorting to various techniques so make sure that all boats livewells are checked before launch. Speak with the organizer or someone with authority there and just say "I am aware that there may be someone cheating but I would rather not give any names for fear they are not, please check all the livewells before launch."
