Anyone fish the Warrior River? Above Lock 17?

REPLY TO fishing warrior river-I fish the upper warrior up around gorgus steam plant at gross camp. just bought a boat last spring .still learning the in &outs

I fish the river around Gorgas also. Usually launch at G's or Copeland's. I know some decent places. Let me know if you need a partner sometime.

how long have you been fishing that area?I've cuaght most of my fish down river,caught a few nice spotted bass.theres some places up river that i havent fished thoroughly yet-but yea we need to partner up sometime.haven't fished much this year went two weekends ago to run the boat out.didn't get much time to wet aline -everybodys on top of them crappie

Caught most of the fish below the steam plant at Gorgas. Haven't had much luck up river. But there's several places up river that look promising. Do you ever fish up river from Gross? caught most of our fish on crank baits &spinners outside the weed lines shure could use some advice on what lures work best. i know theres some realy nice bass ive caught a couple here and there.but yea we need to partner up sometimes

Sorry that I haven't replied for so long. I've been swamped at work. I've fished a short distance above Gross's and know a couple of banks worth dragging a worm. I've also had success fishing the grass with flukes. Let me know when/if you want to go sometime. I'd like to fish further upstream to find some new places too.
