Favorite Oregon Lakes
« on: January 03, 2006, 11:19:54 AM »

I have traveled around the state quite a bit and have fished on many of the lakes and rivers in Oregon.  But I would have to say that favorite lake is would have to be McKay reservoir.  Some of you may be laughing, and some are wondering where it is at.  This small lake held the one time state record Largemouth and currently holds the record for channel catfish in Oregon.  It is good lake to learn on due to its variety of structures and depths.  If you get a chance to make it to this lake try to stay focused on the east bank, and Hang on it is not uncommon to hook in to a fish in th 8 to 10lb range.

sounds like an awesome place to spend the day fishing :-* Anywhere you got a chance to hook into an 8 plus fish is worth the time ~c~
