Title: 2016 Dodge Ram
Post by: bassmedic46 on April 20, 2017, 11:15:57 PM
I just purchased a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. I was wondering what size boats people were pulling with a similar vehicle and how well it pulled.

That 5.7 will pull any bass boat. Plenty of power.

I just traded in a 2014 Ram 1500 and I pulled a 32' travel trailer that has 3 slides and weighs almost 10K pounds. Power wise was no problem but it did sway some. It pulled my Tracker deep V 16' with no problem. I now pull them both with a Ram 3500 SRW. I hope that helps.

I want a diesel but the 5.7 is plenty.

I pulled a 21 foot Legend soaking wet though the Ozark winding hills and hardly knew it was back there.

You won't have a problem, it'll tow any bass boat you own!

I have an 08 Dodge with the 5.7 Hemi and it pulls my Nitro Z-7 like its a toy.  I also pull a 34' V-Lite camper with it and theres plenty of motor.  The only issue pulling the camper is it makes the rear end kinda float/sway if that makes any sense.
