No, not Iaconelli. He's more of an Energizer Bunny. I talking about the old 1950-60's lure. It is one of the first crankbaits developed after WWII. I pulled one of of my vintage lure box and tied it on. I can't say it works better than modern crank baits but it does catch fish. In an hour of using the Lazy Ike I caught a bass, crappie and drum. It's a lure that will rattle your fishing rod and make your forearms tired. I also used an old Bagley's crank named the Dredge. It goes STRAIGHT down on the crank and reaches 22 ft on my electronics. It hit bottom so it might go even deeper. I didn't catch anything on it but it is the slowest crank bait I've used. Seems forever to wind it back. It's from the early 1980's. Try some of the vintage lures for fun. It's a blast when a bass smacks it.

I still have a vintage Lazy Ike that I fished when I was kid.
