Title: I Abu Garcia Orra 2 Winch anti reverse
Post by: tablerock on December 08, 2018, 06:46:47 AM
My Orra has been acting up the last few times out. When Iím playing fish back to the boat, the anti reverse is slipping, letting out a few feet of line. Iím fishing in cold temps right now, and had this happen wth a brand new Lews Super Duty a few years ago. I took it up to Lews and they said the grease actually doesnít do well in cold temps and they cleaned most of off the bearing and had me try it out. Never had the issue again. Anyone have this happen? Is it likely a bearing failure, or grease issue?

More than likely just from wear/cold weather use. excessive amount of grease can cause this as well, but if you havent done anything with the reel recently, I would rule that out. Try wiping out the bearing and the sleeve really good. Take a thin coat of grease on the sleeve, and insert sleeve back into AR bearing and work it around.
