Title: MM41 12/8/18
Post by: SFL BassHunter on December 08, 2018, 02:39:34 PM
Big G invited me out to fish with him and so we headed to MM 41.
It was a slow slow morning. We couldn’t buy a bite from a a bass.
I did manage to catch some Oscar on soft plastics and the weedless spoon and a big ol mudfish on the frog.

One the sun started to warm things up a bit Big G found a few bass. Eventually we started catching. Ended the day with 7 each, but nothing big. George caught his bass on soft plastics and the ones I caught were all on a 4 inch stick baits.

I did lose a big fish but couldn’t tell you if it was a bass or just another giant mudfish it never jumped.

Thanks Big G! Was fun as always!

Sorry it wasn’t real productive but I bet with water levels dropping from lack of rain it will get very active soon. There are some real nice fish there.

Thanks for the report Rick.  It was a slow morning and other boats in our area were saying the same thing.  I started slow rolling a chatterbait along the bottom.  It was getting action on almost every cast but I doubt it was bass.  Soon my chatterbait was gone on a tooth character who sliced right through the line.  There was no shortage of junk fish along this stretch.  U-vibes, flukes, and stickbaits got most of the action on bass today.

What a beautiful morning with perfect temps, low winds, and low humidity.  Just what I left the north country for, 45 years ago.  Although the fishing was tuff, I could not think of a more perfect place to be, then out in the glades this morning! ~c~ ~c~ ~c~

Appreciate the report guys. Doesn't look like the bass activity as kicked off yet on that part of the glades.

Water levels seemed a tiny bit lower than a few months ago. Though not by much.

Lou the crazy days are not even close yet.  Water is still too high.

You are right George, the crazy days are still a few months away. I'm curious just how crazy this year will be.
